FPW's machine shop has a total of 17 CNC machines with a mixture of CNC lathes, Horizontals, Verticals and 5 axis this allows FPW up to 2,856 machine hours per week.

CNC Machining
With the acquisition of 2 x state of the art 5 axis machine, the expansion of our factory which allows us to operate across two sites and continuous improvement through engineering expertise, we have a commitment to quality and believe in continuing to invest which allows FPW to lower customer costs.
FPW's machine shop has a total of 17 CNC machines with a mixture of CNC lathes, Horizontals, Verticals and 5 axis this allows FPW up to 2,856 machine hours per week.
We still believe there is a time and a place for traditional machining and FPW's machine shop contains 5 conventional machines with a mixture of Milling and Turning.
Assembly
The assembly facility of FPW has continuous assembly lines for Gearbox & Axle assembly. The lines are designed to quickly transfer from one project to another, FPW Axles are known for manufacturing Special Purpose Vehicle axles and therefore our assembly line must be ready to assemble various axle designs at one time.
On completion of the assembly the axles are then packed onto wooden crates, our dispatch team then ensures the axles are delivered to our customers either via our own transport or an allocated forwarder.
In addition FPW have a purpose build spray booth which allows us to paint the axles in any colour desired by the customer.
Stores
Our existing clients know that FPW are always at the end of the phone to support in any new axle requirements or to deal with an unexpected issue. Our support and technical expertise are there to provide our customers with the answers to their questions and provide a level of service that will actually resolve problems and challenges, whether it be over the phone, web-chat, via email or an onsite call.
We maintain a large inventory of spare parts to fit our axles and if the part is now obsolete our team of experts can source and advice on the best solution. Our technical staff are highly talented and experienced engineers who are here to help you.
